Privacy Policy

1. Data used by the app

Amounts, currencies, categories, merchants, notes, budgets, and preferences you enter are used only to provide recording, conversion, statistics, and export features.

Yuanlai does not create its own user account, request your name, phone number, email, or password, or include advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs. iCloud sync uses the Apple Account signed in on your device.

2. Local storage and iCloud

Your ledger and settings are stored on your device. When iCloud is available, Apple CloudKit syncs them to the app-specific private database associated with your Apple Account.

Ledger data is not uploaded to a server operated by the developer. The app remains usable locally when iCloud is unavailable, but unsynced data may be lost if the app or device data is removed.

Uninstalling removes the local copy but does not make the app delete records already synced to your CloudKit private database. Reinstalling with the same Apple Account and iCloud enabled will attempt to sync them again. You can also export a CSV backup.

3. Exchange-rate requests

When multi-currency mode is enabled, the app requests the source currency, base currency, and date from the public Frankfurter exchange-rate service. Requests do not contain your amount, category, merchant, note, or complete ledger.

That public service and its network providers may process connection data such as IP address and access time in the ordinary operation of the service.

4. Purchases

Yuanlai offers an auto-renewable annual membership and a lifetime purchase. Apple handles purchases, trials, renewals, cancellations, refunds, offer codes, and restoration. StoreKit provides the app with local price, eligibility, and entitlement status.

The developer does not receive your card number, Apple Account password, or complete payment details. The App Store confirmation sheet controls the final purchase terms.

5. Export and deletion

You may export a CSV backup and are responsible for protecting it after it is shared to a location or app you choose.

You may delete all ledger entries in Settings. When iCloud sync is available, deletion is synced to other devices using the same Apple Account.

6. Security

We use platform data protection and the CloudKit private database while minimizing information sent over the network. No storage method can guarantee zero risk. Protect your device passcode and Apple Account and export important records periodically.

7. Children and updates

The app is not directed to children and does not create child profiles.

If our data practices materially change, we will update this policy and date and provide notice in the app or store listing when appropriate.

For privacy or data-processing questions, use this website’s Support page or the developer contact channel shown on the App Store listing. Do not place ledger data, passwords, or payment details in a public review.
